    Neil Gaiman on Batman!!

After Morrison is done, there's a two parter by Denny O'Neil, then Neil Gaiman takes over the writing on Batman. Here's to hoping its as interesting as his Sandman.

Great news! Hopefully they'll be something left for both O'Neil and Gaiman after Morrison gets done...

....at which point Batman will catch crooks by lulling them to sleep using a monotone voice and existentialist philosophy....

Gaiman's arc is going to be a two-parter between "Batman" and "Detective" and is entitled "Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?"...which sounds suspiciously like Alan Moore's classic "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?". So draw your own conclusions....

^^^ The title is no coincidence.

Alan Moore's story closed the door on the precrisis Supes before Byrne's reboot. THe big question is who's coming onboard to do the reboot of Bats?

And the question is how will reboot of Batman fit into the rest of the DCU? At least when Byrne did Supes, the majority of the DCU was started over from scratch anyway after the Crisis.

Why doesn't DC just get it over with and just reboot everything back to Pre-Crisis anyway? What they have now is pseudo-pre-post Crisis world that is more Pre than Post.

All of this sounds interesting, but very scary to this Batman fan. Just write some good stories and put Batman in them. That'd be a switch.

Has anyone ever read 1601 from him ?
I was always curious if it was any good.

1602? Yeah it was OK...I've read other alternate reality stories that were better though IMO.
