View Full Version : Let's Meet in San Diego! Book Signing at SDCC!
If anyone plans to attend the San Diego Comiccon this weekend, I invite you to stop by and say hi. I will be doing book signings, for one hour each day, at the TwoMorrows booth (#1215).
My signing schedule is:
Thursday: Noon-1pm
Friday: 1-2pm
Saturday: 3-4pm
If you're going to be in San Diego this year, I hope you can stop by and introduce yourself. I'd love to meet fellow Mego-heads. Bring your book, if you already have one, and I'll happily inscribe it to you. If you don't have the book yet, you can pick one up at the TwoMorrows booth.
Also, I'll be working the Toynami (http://www.toynami.com/) booth for a few hours each day (in the morning), glad-handing and doling out Toynami SDCC-exclusive figures.
I look forward to seeing those of you in attendance, either at Toynami or TwoMorrows.

Nooo! I'm going to be in San Diego on Saturday but not at ComicCon. I'm going to the live Rifftrax show at the Balboa Theater. I wish I could have done both. I'd have loved to get my book signed. Maybe another time.

It was fun to meet again with Ben and Rob in San Diego, we hated the food we enjoy the time there, saw a few megos and talk to some cool people...Ben, open up the blog to see the finished collection on your notepad/sketch book....you know what I mean....

Not this year, I'm afraid. I have amazing memories but I took no photos to back 'em up.

:wink_y: Thanks Scott.

Great to see you, Jay! I don't think it merits re-opening the blog, but I will post some of the sketchbook entries here. Many of them are astoundingly cool.
Rob Emailed me some pictures he took, so I'll try to post those here as well.
The con was amazing. I finally got to meet Rick (our own NewForce) in person, and all I can say is: WOW. What an amazingly cool person. Plus, he's married to the coolest woman around, so he's also very lucky!
I also finally met Ken Abrams, son of Marty Abrams. Ken stopped by the booth for one of my signings, and I was very pleased and mildly star-struck. In fact, Ken was running around the con with his cousin, whose father (Howie Abrams) is Marty Abrams' brother. Howie was the head of Sales at Mego.
Technically, I was there to sign books for folks, but I'll be darned if I didn't have both of THEM sign my personal copy of the book (yes, I carry it with me). Can you blame me? They were both incredibly nice and appreciative of the book, assuring me that both Howie and Marty LOVE the book itself, as well as with the continued Mego adoration it brings.
Anyway, those are two of my highlights from this year's Comic-Con. Pics and scans (what few I have) to follow.

Congrats Benjamin. That's pretty darn cool.
Rick is the man. His sister is married to my wife's brother. Talk about a small world.
