Michael Myers from the HALLOWEEN films... did you know his mask was a william shatner mask? I couldnt resist painting a captain kirk head and turning him into this monster!

So this is Jason Voorhis as he appears in FRIDAY THE 13th pt.2 (he wasnt in the first one, and didnt get a hockey mask until the 3rd one.) Hist shirt is supposed to be a plaid all blue shirt, but at least there is some blue in here.
Ok, any comments, suggestions, criticism whatever are welcomed and encouraged, thanks for taking a look!

first of all I want to be the first to say nice work. I have been waiting to see some horror movie customs as I am a huge classic horror fan. My only complaint so far is that you didn't do any more! (yes, I should get off my behind and do some too!). I would love to see you do my other favorite two horror villains, Freddy Krueger and Leatherface, that would be nice indeed. Too bad Mego never made a line for adults with all this sort of stuff. Good stuff

Looks like your off to a good start!

Yeah the mask was provided by "unlucky in love" Shelly. The mask was worn by Richard Brooker whom I met a few years ago. He was a really nice guy!

Neat! I was gonna make a custom Jason (sack mask version), but I never got around to it. Nice work!
I did in fact know about the Shatner mask. I tell people about it and nobody believes me. Good job!

Those are very nice. Excellent work, especially considering they're your first.

You've got a good "Mego eye"! Seeing pieces and parts of other figures that will come together to make a new figure is a talent...keep it up!!

thanks for your comments, i really do appreciate them, unfortunatly michael's paint cracked a bit when i squoze his head earlier (don't ask!!!) I guess it's a good thing these arent actually gonna be played with... except by me of course :) Oh and I'm sure there are others of u who will agree that the best part of the waltons line is thier customability! (Honestly thats about the only 8" line i really dont feel a need to have in my collection... no offense to those who disagree:smiley1:

Seriously though, it's a great job. I've known for a while that the Kirk mask was the Shape. One of these days, someone might make a RM Michael Myers. They can use the head of what I heard were the thinner molded 79 reissues of Kirk (they are the ones that go gray too, which would eliminate the need for painting).
Then you can slice the neck plug off, slit it up the back of the head and cut out the eyeholes. I'm don't think it would fit on a normal head though unless you enlarge it somehow.

That's a pretty cool idea

i would love to do a freddy... but i'm not sure how to pull it off, his sweater is very distinctive, though i suppose some t-shirt paint could do the job. As far as his head though... well There aren't a lot of bald mego heads (unless i'm blanking, if so fill me in) I suppose i could buy a doc mego one. also that glove... i have no clue how that would be possible... again i'd love to hear ideas/suggestions, and if anyone has done a freddy, i'd love to see pics. I'm actually thinking Pinhead from Hellraiser may be my next horror project (though i'll need a doc mego head for that.)
thanks
scott
