Who was Cory Wood and what happened to him?

Who was Cory Wood and what happened to him? I have not been part of this forum for very long, and I don't know everyone here.

The only thing I have seen of Cory's are the sewing patterns that are in the Custom section.

Cory was a great guy ....

    He was from England .....

Besides designing patterns and suits, he also was a terrific sculptor ...
Many on his sculpts are still used today, including
Lou Ferigno as Hulk and George Reeves Superman ........

If that wasn't enough, he even helped me create graphics for my old website.
    The guy's talent was limitless

When he went MIA (about 3-ish years ago) he was working on a Kolchack sculpt.
    Shame he never finished it.

Where he is now and why he left, I have no idea ............
His leaving was quite mysterious ......
One day he just quit posting ...
    I hope he's ok

A very cool guy with a hell of a lot of talent.

      Yeah;

He did good stuff. I have a set of his monster heads and they were FANTASTIC! And it IS weird.... he sorta just disappeared.

He popped back in once or twice very briefly after he left. I'm not sure what happened, but he just seemed to have a sudden loss of interest. I heard he hangs at a modeling board or something like that somewhere.

He is an amazingly talented guy, and more importantly was always a prime example of a person who was all class.

I totally forgot about the monsters ........

Didn't he have a deal with CTVT's reproducing his monster sculpts as their "series-2" set ?

I wonder if the deal fell through, and it turned him off to Megos in general ?

          Just a thought.

I think DL was trying to get CTVT to use them as Series 2 monsters, but they rejected them. There was never really a deal as I understand it. But it was around that time that Cory stopped coming around.

They didn't know a good thing when they seen it in front of their face.
              Typical CTVT's maneuver...

Makes me that much more happy they went BELLY up

This was my suspicion as well... CTVT's never did have a deal with Cory, but after seeing the Zombie/Shock Monster sculpt they asked him to do 3 more. Once completed they just flat out rejected them, and decided to use other sculpts. Cory never asked for one red cent, and was just proud to see them made. He even made several changes for them, only to have them just drop out after he was finished. Very bad form in my opinion, and about the time I refused to carry anymore of their stuff and Cory kinda lost interest in MEGO scale... I always felt bad since they contacted Cory through me, and I carried their stuff at the time. We did they only thing we could do and made them up and sold them ourselves...(the begining of Cast-a-Way Toys)

Very sad indeed that he lost interest, he was not only a very talented guy but generous and genuinely a good person and friend. I miss him.

Cory was extra special in the cool department ........

I remember when the CLASSIC Bionic Woman Season-1 DVD's first hit region-2 PAL ...
(NTSC-- America never got the release --- not even up to TODAY)

Cory knew I loved the series .... and he went out and rented them all, just to record them for me.

Never asked for anything in return .....

I sent him plenty of Irwin Allen shows that he liked (as a thanks) ... But still, I didn't have too.
                    He didn't want anything ......

                    A class act guy ......

Now that yous got me thinking about him ...... I really miss him ......

When we used to have some controversial threads --- sometimes by trolls ......
Cory would always avoid them .....
He never lowered himself to that kind of stuff (more then I can say for myself)

Wow. That's too bad about that deal with the imbeciles that call themselves CTVT.

I can understand losing interest in things, it's happened to me a couple of times.

I hope he comes back someday.

                            Did everyone call him Coz?

He was a good guy! I do seem to remember though, about 4+ years ago he had a funny thread going one night around New Year's Eve while he was, ahem...under the influence? Does that ring any bells?
