SECRET FUN BLOG: STANLEY KUBRICK'S BOXES (http://secretfunspot.blogspot.com/2008/07/stanley-kubricks-boxes.html)

This is an amazing documentary you can see online about the thousands of boxes of research and fan letters and other stuff that Kubrick methodically catalogued. Fascinating look into the mind of a genius.

It's got the original research photos where he's looking for the perfect sinister hat the gang wears in Clockwork Orange...very cool to see

Wasn't it amazingly good? Glad you watched it. I'd love to see all those toy store shots his nephew took for reference. Wonder when they were done.

It is unbelievable to gain just that small insight into his mind and how he operated. . .true Genius, of epic proportions. . .what a resource that University has inherited. What about that whole Wartime Lies business. . . vs Schindlers List. I think I would have preferred to see Kubricks vision. . .whatever that may have been.

I wonder what his wife will do with all that space now??? :smiley1:

It's kind of sad he got so lost in minutiae that we didn't get more out of him. What was that movie he passed on?---oh, it's on the tip of my tongue.
