Catalogs are calling The Keeper a Talosian

I really wish someone would clear this up once and for all. We all know it would have been better if Mego had named this thing Balok, but none of the aliens had proper names, just species names. But the Keeper wasn't a species, it was a puppet, so I guess they were kinda stuck. So now all the people who put put these catalogs are probably working from a press sheet that some non Trekkie gave them and screw up the name.

    Ok, I'm done ranting now.

I don't care what they call it...I'm just dying for the release! It's been a long time in between Figures now.

Apparently, a big head and a robe is enough to qualify you as a Talosian.

I guess this is another one, then:

When Mego made their Keeper figure what were they basing him on, was it Balok or the Talosians from "Menagerie"? Pike called the Talosians "Keepers" a few times in that classic 2-parter.

Hence the confusion, but Mego did make a "Talos" figure as well. Mego's Keeper is based on Balok from the Corbomite Maneuver.
