Then and now. What Megos did/do you have?

This is one is going to be geared mostly to the generation of people that grew up playing with Megos. They were a big part of my childhood play time growing up and times I cerish. IMHO none of todays toys hold a candle to how Megos did in my day. I'm sure kids now a days think differntly and think Megos are cheesy, but they still rock to me now!!

We didn't have ton of money growing up as kids and my mom hardley ever got me much from any one particular line of toys, if I got one figure or accessory from any particular toy line it was alot. For some reason she must have liked the Mego line and got me a bunch. :grin:

I went through a couple Batman's, Robin's, Superman's and Spidey's. I can't recall if I had any other WGSH's though. I had Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Klingon, as well as almost all of the Apes. Honorable mention goes to LJN's SWAT line which at the time was the same toyline in my mind.

the only mego item I ever got to have as a kid was Bendy Riddler....he was my favorite, I still miss him and still cant find one for sale...I had to grow up jealous of my older brothers 8 inch hulk mego.

Since I've already shown what I have in another post, I'll stick with the Survivors.

Spider-Man: The same one I have since I was six. I had to use other figues as donors to keep him going (McCoy who was brutalized anyway) and I'm pretty sure one his legs was replaced with Bo Duke's.


McCoy: Despite him (and most of my Treks) being put through the mill, his head, torso, clothes, belt and orginal communicator survived. Except for the Torso, I reused all those parts on a fresh Type 2 Trek body so he lives again!

Shazam: Yep, I know he wasn't on list #1. But he saw saw plenty of childhood play as I obtained him from a freind of mine who was my primary Mego playmate as a child when I was a child. When I purchased I promised I'd never sell him and glad I didn't!

One Duke boot. I know it wasn't from Fonzie since he met his demise when I dropped him out of a car window by accident. I used the boot on a recently acquired Luke Duke.

I have almost all the WGSH heroes now in various forms and all the other Treks have been replaced.
