Carded figures with broken knees - open or leave sealed?

Recently I've seen a couple of carded figures on ebay that were opened to replace the body or repair the knee. Is it better to leave it broken and sealed? Or, cleanly open it to repair/replace the body?

If it's a rare figure keep it sealed, if it's common go ahead and open the card to fix the figure

I like to keep them sealed, you could get more money for a carded fig with broken knees then loose with good knees, atleast that's how i always see it

If you are gonna keep them for display then razor the top of the bubble and fix 'em. If you are going sell, leave the repairing to someone else.

I open/repair only if it is a common figure on a common card. I would never do it with even a moderately hard to find character or card variation.

If I plan to sell it, I leave it alone, no matter how common.
