I started my MEGO collection with a brown haired plactic jointed Action Jackson, which I still have.

I was wondering who else started down the MEGO trail with a plastic jointed
AJ?

My first AJ was a type one. I didn't see a snap-together body until the '90s.

My first was Spiderman!!!

I don't think I ever had an Action Jackson (as a child) -- but I found a superman wearing an AJ jumpsuit in my attic (so go figure).

Do you still have him? I don't remember ever seeing a black type one hand that wasn't an ape hand.

Nope, I'm afraid not. I had 2 black AJs, one at age 5, (in '71) and one at age 6,(in '72) before the POTA figs came out, so they had regular hands.

~~~~My first Mego Action Jackson,Blue suit.Still have him today!
He was actually an addition to GIJOE at the time.Any fighting hero was a great find.

My first Megos were the Removable Cowl Batman and Removable Mask Robin! AJ did come along shortly thereafter, though.

I started with AJ, but for the life of me, I don't remember whether my first ones had plastic rivits or not. I remember having a lot of metal rivet ones though.

Can't remember if I got the AJ first or Spidey. Cap was third and then got a Batman. Had the AJ heli-backpack that I flew all over the house. Then I diversified into Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Hot Wheels, GI Joe's Baseball cards, girls, etc. Girls were much more difficult but much like my toys very hard to give up.

My first mego figure was a Blond bearded AJ with dark blue jump suit and the second was a Black Hair with Beard AJ with a Light blue suit.
