FORTRESS of SOLITUDE PLAYSET (Finished! Finally! LOTS of BIG Pics!)

About 15 months after I did my original hand-cut, laminated Fortress of Solitude Playset I'm proud to annouce the the Dida-fication of said playset is now complete!

The door folds down to become extra floor space...

The giant door panel can be unsnapped, allowing acess to the secrets of Superman's arctic hideaway. First up are tributes to Krypton, including giant statues of Superman's parents Jor-El and Lara...

The 2 triangle pieces fold out, revealing the Kryptonite Lab (with Anti-Kryptonite Lead Suit) and the Super-Weapons... [The floors were left off of the triangles to allow the walls to expand more. Also, the artwork for these 2 panels is removable and you can switch them out with the Super Identity Vault and the Super Trophies...not shown]

Superman and Supergirl welcome you to the Fortress...

Superman at the Super-Computer/Trouble Monitor (Should he stop Brainiac's Kryptonite Trap, save Lois from plunging to her death or stop Titano from destroying the Daily Planet? Decisions, decisions!) The Phantom Zone Projector and Viewer and the Bottle City of Kandor and Communicator are also shown...

    Supergirl at the Kryptonite Lab...

Superman fiddles with the Super Robots..

Wall folds out to reveal the 2 panel Interplanetary Zoo on the other side...

Other wall folds out to reveal 2 panel Hall of Allies and Rogues Gallery

Superman and Supergirl defend the Fortress from intruders Luthor, Brainiac and Bizarro...

When not in use, the Giant Key (flip side of the door) can be snapped over the Lead Suit if desired...

And thanks to Mr. Dida himself, Scott Adams, for all his help and input along the way!

Amazing! It is a wonder to behold. I don't think you could have fit any more into it. If only I were 8 again, I would have bugged my parents every day from now till Christmas to be sure one of these would be under the tree!

Wow. There it is. That's awesome to see at last Anthony! I'm really proud to see the Didas put to such great use. I love carry case playsets and this one is a classic.

I think I'm gonna need one of these myself!

One to be proud of for sure, to own, and especially to create. Very sharp. You guys should be really proud of your work, they are truely professional in every regard.

^ Scott, the art on the 2 sides and the back are the ice cave pattern that's seen in the background in the interiors....it's an arctic wasteland up there...nothing around for miles

I really like the use of pattern, it's very dense and pleasing.
