HI!!

I'll Introduce myself.
I'm Lynn Barlow I live in NE PA. I'm 39 years young, have a great wife, two great kids 2 and 4 years old.
I had several WGSH when I was kid, a ton of POTA figures and playsets, and a slew of countless Micronauts stuff.
I had a ball with those and a lot of fond memories, but all have since disappeared over time.

I rediscoverd Megos back in the mid late 90's when I found several dead mint almost complete WGSH all for $2- $4 each. I then got several WGSH, some Star Trek stuff, and a few mint POTA figures on eBay only to sell all of them to help finance my Darth Vader costume so I could join the 501st Star Wars costuming legion.

It was a sale that I regret to this day shortly after I sold them. I have gotten a few WGSH back a couple years ago and I just recently started selling off some of my movie prop collection and SW toys to get some of my old Megos back.

I discovered the MM and forums a few months ago and have been lurking around, I have tried to register, but have had nothing but problems logging and I finally gave up.

I'm finally able to join in on this great forum after for some reason having logging in problems.
After talking with Mego73 (Mike R) via email for a few weeks now and I mentioned my logging in problems a couple days ago, he said to try IE instead of Netscape, so here I am.... :D
Thanks Mike!!

I hope to contribute a bit and have a good time learning and enjoying this stuff.
I'm into model building, movie props, costumes, toys, and dinos.

You do of course realize that you have to pay (G.L.) royalties everytime you mention his name! Think it's a law or somethin'

Hey, welcome aboard Lynn and greeting from Belgium. So, you're a prop builder and costume maker, eh? Does that mean we can expect to see some customs from you? And you make any Batman 1966 props?

I would love to have seen some SW figures done Mego style!!!

Hey! You're part of the 501st? Did you get to appear in the Documentary about them called Heart of an Empire?

Welcome. I'm 36 and have both Mego and vintage SW collections. Growing up the two were almost hand-in-hand. I have a limited amount of space so to both I have had to compromise by having small collections of both. I like it that way as I feel it keeps thing intresting and keeps me from burning out if I'm having a dry spell with one of them.

Hey! You're part of the 501st? Did you get to appear in the Documentary about them called Heart of an Empire?

I used to be part of the 501st, but I got out because it was becoming to political and too much BS with wanabe top dogs in the higher ranks, besides there wasn't too much trooping activity in this area and with two little ones now I can't drive 2-3 hrs to events any more.

No, I had nothing to do with the documentary, I havn't trooped since SW ROTS came out a couple years ago.

I miss trooping as I did it off and on for about 6-7 years met a lot of great SW actors and some great people, one of these days I may get back into it.

Thanks for the welcomes.
Lynn
