New EMCE/DR. Mego Female bodies!

Well I was going to keep the lid on it but since Dr. Mego (Paul) already revealed this at the megomeet I guess the cat is out of the bag. (No pun intended.)

This is the body going to be used for Uhura and the prototype to the new Dr. Mego female bodies.

I am so excited! No more Breyer girls! Ha Ha

They are made from the same stuff the Dr. Mego bodies are and I am pretty sure they are tough and stronger then the normal bodies.

Now we have to wait for Aug/Sept until we can actually get our grubby hands on them. :smiley1:

This doll does have a neck stem. I cropped the prototype Uhura head because I am sure the Doc wants to reveal that on his site himself! :)

I am sure with enough questions Dr. Mego himself with come to this thread and answer. He gave me all the answers I needed. I didn't need to twist his arm. :)

I know my daughter has a stack of made over BreyerGirl/Super heroines that are going to need a makeover in August!!

Yes this figure had a neck. I cropped the head because it had a prototype Uhuru head that I am sure Dr. Mego doesn't want out and about until the doll is actually released.

My daughter's Breyergirl/Super Heroines are so in desperate need of a body makeover. They all look silly because they are 1/2 inch taller then the male super hero counter parts. This is truly a blessing!

One to take out of the package, one to keep safe.

I plan on getting a red Star Trek style dress from Brian Leitner.

I have black tights that will fit nicely, and all I have to get are the boots.

Along with the repro tricorder, phaser, and communicator.

Never mind the bodies, the heads are atrocious! Those spooky looking eyes, and vacuous Barbie smiles are just not a good combination.

The heads are also too small, and they look deformed, compared to classic Mego and DocMego's recast of the Supergirl head.

As far as I know, DocMego is the ONLY one that sells Mego scale female heads with actual rooted hair.

Unfortunately, she is only available as a Caucasian blonde with blue eyes, so if you are looking for an Asian, Hispanic or otherwise ethnic head, you are either SOL, or you will have to scalp one, repaint it, and reroot the head yourself.

when it comes to my toy collection PLUS I am quite taken (and humbled)
by the documentation of your collection that you so thoughtfully share
with your daughter--I'd give you an easy pass on all the above ---not

Plus---I went through a pretty involved "BREYER PHASE" before
swearing off them for good---so in some ways I'm JUST as guilty
of "falling for the Breyer lure"!

Not true....there's a Guy on eBay, that Buys Doc's Heads...and reroots them in different colors. Just keep a favorites search going for Custom Megos.:wink: He puts them up every so offten.

Does he have an email? I tried looking for that on eBay and came up with nothing. Yes, Rogue's head is being changed out. My daughter does love the doll Mark made but gives her weird looks when handling her. :smiley1:

It's a bit of a pain to sculpt the derned things ourselves.

Oooh! That reminds me! Paul never did say if he was going to have the Romulan Commander done, or Saavik for that matter.

I think it'd be great to have those two in the Trek line, even if Saavik is from later in the series.

For some reason, THIS thread was a the top of the list that day, and I looked at the pic. I have never seen one of Doc's female bodies up close, and I thought we were talking about something new.
I have seen that tiny pic of the caucasian body a thousand times. I always thought that it was more like the Mego body.
When I saw Wraithdemon's post (from '08) I was thinking the Doc brought out a new body. Word has it that he is working on a new male body so...:juggleyes_y: :smiley1:
