I think Batman will do pretty darn good, unfortunately I think the previous crap Hulk film will scare off a lot of fans and it won't do as good as I hope it does

Obviously Batman will draw even perhaps the Non-Comicbook Geek crowds as well,.. with it being the last Ledger complete movie performance imo. Hulks got my Money this weekend. I guess we will see where it's at, after people start seeing it. IMO , The previews alone SMASH! Ang's Hulk.

BTW,... I can't believe F4 Part2 made more cash than Spidey3,.... I just wasn't that much of a fan of F4 2.... I guess they just spent more dow to make Spidey.

Hulk won't do so good this weekend. It's got to worry about that new movie from M.Night. It'll be a close race this weekend.

It beat out SUPERMan 3, not Spidey 3. And this list has nothing to do with how much the film took to make.

I think Dark Knight will surpass Batman Begins numbers by quite a bit. One, many folks who passed on Begins in theaters due to the godawful previous Bat-flick, saw it on DVD and really enjoyed it. I have numerous co-workers here who came up to me after the DVD came out and praised the movie. Two, the morbid curiousity factor about Ledger's last performance will make folks go to the theater and see a movie they may have not seen otherwise. I don't think his death will turn anyone away at all.

Hulk...its hard to say. It's getting good reviews and has a strong cast. It may not be #1 due to "The Happening" but it will probably still do respectable numbers. The bomb of the summer has already come and gone...Speed Racer.

Didn't see Begins in the theatre. Have no desire to see a Joker wearing make up.

I saw part of Begins on TV. Liked bits of it but overall was underwhelmed.

Can't get into this version of Bats. Hate his look, hate Michael Kane as Alfred. Didn't like Ra's Al Ghoul or Scarecrow much and these are 2 of my favorite characters. oved Gary Oldmen (sp?) as Gordon though.

I love Batman but these movies are just not to my liking at all. I prefered the 89 film and that's saying something.

Batman will do a lot better than Hulk methinks.....hopefully those that caught Begins on dvd will support the movie at the cinemas and give it a big boost.

I think the only film the Incredible Hulk is competing with is it's predecessor (Ang Lee's Hulk). While $54.5 is a respectable number, it clearly shows that a number of people held back because of the late marketing of this film which did little to dispell the effects from the 2003 effort. If the film drops 60% or more in it's sophomore weekend, it's all over. I think best case scenario is $135 to $140 million. A more likely figure is $125 to $130 million.

Dark Knight Returns has the advantage of good buzz and good success with it's prior outing (Batman Begins). With the untimely death of Heath Ledger, that makes this film something of a must-see for Ledger fans as well as the curious mixed in with the Batman brigade. I look for that film to gross $75 to $80 million it's first weekend with a final take of $250 million plus. Higher if reviews are strong.

One thing I always wonder about these types of comparison is if the Adjustment is for the value of a dollar or the price of the movie ticket. While the value of a dollar is down by about from the 80's the price of a ticket has more than tripled since 78
