Let me preface this by saying I'm trying to keep this short so if I miss a name or two my apologies.
This was my first trip to Wheeling and if you have not made this event you need to put it on the schedule NOW!! (go ahead I'll wait while you do it and come back) it's worth every penny, every minute away from work or family, it's MEGO Heaven!!
It's the Museum in solid form, just no marble pillars . . . yet!
It was great to meet sooooo many people, some that I have known a short time some for 10 years or so via the internet. You guys made me feel like one of the original 8 and I had a blast.
Some of my observations . . . . (names most likely misspelled)
The dealers room was everything you could imagine and more
The displays were top notch with super rare figures and even Love Boat stuff
The Sloppy Joes were world class and very sloppy
Art Baltazar (megomilk) is a HOOT!! and he's also famous!
Paul Clare knows how to throw a party!
Paul Clark knows how to WOW a room, good things are coming boys!
Palitoy likes Champale?
Derek Combs is one of the nicest guys I've ever met and sews all of his stuff by hand
ChrisDVM can cast & paint under extreme duress
By day three the Mego Suite had an odor you wouldn't believe
Tom Sacco . . . don't know the name? . . . you soon will
John Michaels can power nap
Ron you don't really need that Silver Soldier ape, do you?
If Brue were an AJ, . . . . . he'd be a Lion Rock version
Scott Arendsen' s son is a giant in training
David Lee & Jason know how to arrive fashionably late
Berto' has more parts than NAPA . . . he's a great guy too!
Brian Leitner is a customizing mainiac
YES, john farley's customs are that good!
NO, Derek Richardson never stopping working on his customs
Scott Adams has more rivets than the Mark I Armor
Ask Chuck about working back stage
I recommend HOSS'S steak house
I don't recommend Undos Italian food
Don't tell anyone but I saw some bootleg DVD's there
Thanks to all who purchased a Sheriff of Nottingham Figure
It was a genuine pleasure meeting everyone, a Mego dream come true for me
Dave McCormick needs a huge round of applause for being the lead on this event!
thanks everyone!!!
