My Flocked Cornelius.

After seeing the Cornelius head I flocked on the YANOULI thread I thought Id show mine:wink:

The figure was bought last week at a toy fair for $2 bucks..the outfit borrowed from my other " non flocked " Cornelius

I was never a fan of the flocked haired G.I. Joes. I really have no idea why. Maybe it was just the look of them.

But I do like your Cornelius. It looks more natural than the Joes. Wasn't it Kenner that came out with a line of 12" POTA figures in the late 90s with flocked hair? Like the Joes, I didn't care for them.

Or not. LOL :silly: That scene always bothered me. They just didn't look "right". Very much like a bad circus gorilla suit. I remember talking to John Chambers about this a few years back. He mentioned that he didn't dig it either. He said it kind of "cheapened" his make-ups. He told me that they tried to put optical steam in the scene to help conceal the crudeness of those suits. Didn't really work, if you ask me. That film is still genius though... They all are.

These look much better that sculpted IMO. Anyone know why they don't do flocking anymore on toys? Other than the GIJOE reissues.
