    The Spirit-Frank Millers Blog!

Check it out Guys...sounds to Me like He has genuine "love & repect" for both Wil Eisner, and His creation. And He explains the change of the Suit, from blue to black...quite nicely.

He probably has love and respect for Batman, too.

I don't believe he has any for the spirit either.

              Hmmmm....

I think even if you assume that this isn't all just blowing smoke for the Eisner fanboys you gotta ask exactly WHAT Miller takes away from the Spirit. From his own works it seems that what he gets most from the whole "pulp" genre is mostly the titilation and proclivity for the dark. So.... is THAT what he sees in the Spirit? And Eisner's works in general? I think this is what ultimately worries the old fans.

^ I agree...there's more to the Spirit than just "pulp"..a lot of it is tongue-in-cheek and I don't think Miller gets that aspect.
