Reading Creature remake and thought it might be cool to redo a movie the way I wanted. I would redo The Legend of Hell House- a cool movie. I would like it in black/white and would like Dustin Hoffman and Jamie Lee Curtiss play the leads. With technology today could have better effects too. I would want it to be a mix of classic horror but with a modern edge. What movies if any would you folks like to redo?

I would really like to see something like "Frankenstein VS the Wolf Man" get made as a new film with no CGI.

I would love to see Fantastic Four, Punisher, Hulk, Spiderman etc redone properly...lol
Seriously though....A decent from the book version of "I am Legend" and "War of the Worlds" would be great...exactly as the book...NO deviations.

I know that it has supposedly been in the works for some time now, but Logan's Run would be on list. As much as I love the original, it looks really dated now for something that is futuristic.
Some new Conan movies would be good too, especially if they were made without Arnie. I could see someone like The Rock being cast, but I don't think he could pull it off well.
yeah some new Conan would be great...the Arnie films were good but Conan was never a muscle bound figure like Arnie....

I think a good person to play Conan would be the guy who played the german warrior who gets killed early in Kingdom of Heaven...or how 'bout the Viking leader in The 13th Warrior? That would be a good movie to remake but only if it was more like the first one... I thought the 2nd movie sucked.

I'd love to see a new version of
Quatermass and the Pit
So long as Tim Burton has nothing to do with it.

Yeah the entire Quatermass series could do with a revamp...wonder if it would be too cerebral or long winded for today's audiences though...

I liked 2,that big guy from Kingdom of heaven could be cool, but I think they need someone a little more well known
Hmmmm....
Personally I'd rather not see ANY movie remade. Too often remakes just take the name and some imagery and slap it on the current standard film. An old film was made at a certain time, with specific prevalent attitudes and norms, and ideas of the "right" way of making a film. You can never recapture that. Even a grade-Z no budget monster double feature film is what it is BECAUSE of the no-budget, slapdash production. Change that and you invariably lose what it was that made the film in the first place.
Not EVERYTHING has to be "The 10 Commandments." "Robot Monster" is a worthwhile film too. Just in a completely different way. Make a film "right" and you usually make it conform to a current attitude; since there is no universal "right" way to do movies. And if you make an idea conform to the current standard you get.... well.... stuff like "I Robot."
*sigh*
