My daughter has been after me for a long time to create Solomon Grundy. Well thanks to Edgaar, he supplied us with a Famous Covers Hulk body for a good price!

It took me a good deal to get Solomon Grundy to look like himself and get rid of traces of the Hulk.

I created the suit myself. I cut open and resewed a "Dinner Date for two Ken tuxedo" and shredded it to fit Solomon like he crawled out of the swamp himself.

His shoes I made from scuptely since there is really nothing that would fit those giant feet.

My daughter has been jumping around for days while he has been drying, "Can I touch him? Can I touch him?"

Not sure why my camera makes his eyes look like they are cockeyed when I compressed the JPG but they are not...

Finally, this Sunday morning she was able to have Solomon invade the Hero Central headquarters...

I love making stuff for my kids...
My Dad made me loads of Action-Man stuff.

Those hands are really cool...better than the Hulks.

Very, very cool. Those Famous Covers Hulk's can come in handy for customizing. I guess loose figs are around 10-15 dollars on Ebay. You definitely Grundy-ized him for sure. That second picture looks like he's giving Alan Scott a pat on the back...before he rips out his spine.

Well done figure.

Now, somebody needs to get the build a Grundy figure from the newest DC line and send the head to Austin for casting. If you guys haven't seen it, it's a beatiful work of art, even for a undead guy's noggin.

The FC Hulk body works well for Grundy! Cool! The Mego Hulk body would've been too short (although I know people have used it before).

Cool, I did the same thing. One suggestion for the boots, I dremelled down the feet so I could get them into 1/6th boots. The kind that laces up really work for Grundy.

He fits in quite well. He looks better as SG than he does as Hulk.

Wow! Thanks for the kind words all of you!! I am think I am going to try and fish another one of these bodies and make a custom Rhino out of him. They seem to be the perfect size for the bigger bodies.
It is a shame that mego made the Hulk look so wrong sized. Not sure what they were thinking when they were putting the body together. They had to have noticed the size.
I use the 12 inch Mego Hulk for the collection.

I also prefer the 12 inch hulk for my collection. He towers over just right. Last night, my son emptied out all my spare heads and reorganized them. He then asked if I would empty out another box and let him reorganize it also. Got me so hyped up, I picked out enough stuff to nearly finish my Black Terror custom.
I love having a child to spur me on with these. Makes it very worthwhile and satisfying.
