I always thought this since I first started watching series-1 back in 2005, but I forgot to bring it up until now
To me, Series-1 (the Ecceston series) had a subtle but noticeable vibe to it, in my opinion...
First off, I think Chris looked like he belonged in the 80's with his kind of 80's punk look.
In The End of the World, the jukebox played Runaway (the ultimate song to make you think of the 80's)
In Dalek, the crazed no soul rich American businessman Henry van Statten seems like he'd be more at home in 80's than today.....
Fathers Day, they went back to the 80's
There's more examples, but I forgot right now
