View Full Version : Money Man - What to do now?

Well here is my latest version of a character that I totally made up that I call "Money Man". I am just curious to hear what others may think I could do to him that would may him look cool or cooler. It seems like there is something missing and I am not completely happy with this figure yet to call it a done deal. Anyone have any good ideas?

Hey, Now that you mention that fact you are absolutely right. I never thought about that before. And here I thought I was creating something unique. :smiley1:

I like the mask style, unique afa megos I have seen, but it sort of makes him look like he is frowning. Is it because he doesn't have enough loot??? or has money made him bitter?
Maybe it is because he spent all his money filling his gas tank, like me. :ugh_y:

I believe you are right. That is probably what is bugging me about completing him. That is the part that just does not look right to me either. Maybe for Money Girl now that will be a different story. :smiley1: I need to come up with some kind of a unique and cool costume that isn't shall we say so leggy? I am not sure that you sold me on the corduroy pants idea though. Does anyone even make corduroy pants in Mego scale? Maybe those would be a good idea for his altered ego version that I will also make some time down the road. I am picturing the alter ego in a all white Brooke's Brother's or Armani suit. So far here is my line up of characters that I am making up.
Money Man (above) - subject to change in appearence of course
Money Man's alter ego
Money Woman or and or Money Girl
Phat *******
Perhaps more to come the more creative I become. AND the better I get at actually making customs.
Thanks for the ideas

Howabout a sidekick named Penny or Spare Change or something like that. And give Money Man some pants. Looks like Orange would work.

Spare Change is a geat name for a sidekick, maybe her alter ego's first name could be Penny and Money Man's first name could be Bill.

Or a Gold Coin on a chain around his neck.
I think he should ride a Penny Farthing
And live down Penny Lane.
And his arch-enemy could be called
Mint
He could say "you've been Minted"

I think he needs an accessory or weapon of some sort. Diamond tipped walking stick maybe?

I am officially "old" .... On the Beverly Hillbillies -- Mr. Drysdale gave Jethro a stack of Moneyman comics for cleaning out the garage. It set up a whole series of scenes where Jethro was going to be a Superhero. Great figure!!!

I like the gold coin idea. That will more than likely become a reality. I have also thought about the gold chain idea before as well. I am thinking that may materialize as well. I already have the gold chain for him.

I have been thinking about adding a good sized rock to his finger. The diamond laser beam shooting from it could cut through whatever gets in his way.

That is funny and for some actually true. Besides why can't a Super Hero just run around in his underoos. We are talking comfort here folks. It is not easy being a super hero all the time. In that case I would recommend a smiley face Mego sized head to mimic the Wal-mart mascot that used to be seen slashing prices all over the store. Hmm....That is funny I do not see him slashing prices in the store any more these days. What up with that? :smiley1:
OOps almost forgot the blue vest.

That makes two of us then. I used to like watching the "Hillbillies" as a kid. I never knew that Moneyman comics existed. I will have to try and find that episode and watch it. Thanks for the input and for the nice comment.

Thanks for keeping the thought process alive. I actually thought of John Dough as an alter ego name. That was a real tough one I know. :smiley1:
I have also been thinking about M.W.A. Millionaire's With an Attitude as a group name. I already have the logo done. It is really fun reading the ideas that come to member's minds here.

Hi, Thank you for the nice comment. I only wish I could sew that good. I have yet to try my hand at sewing. Those that have been doing it here make it look "so" easy. No pun intended. I am not sure if I should get a machine or if I should just start out trying it by hand. My gf already thinks that I am losing it with my Mego obsession. Kidding of course. I figured that if she sees me with a needle and some thread sewing little costumes that will definitely seal the "I am going nuts over Mego" thought that she already thinks now. :smiley1: I keep thinking that one of these days I am going to start piling up my mash potatoes on my plate at dinner time like the guy did in the movie Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. :smiley1: I hope not for my and my gf sake. In regards to your question. Shamefully, The tunic came from a dollar store. :smiley1: What would we all do without those dollar stores for our quick fixes. It fits perfect as you can see. It was basically something to get the idea off the ground and the ball rolling. I believe that this will all change regarding his outfit in the near future. I have recently enlisted outside help from someone that does superior customs and sewing work. I have also recently created a thread to vote for his (Money Man's) mask. Someone earlier mentioned that they thought Money Man looked like he was frowning so we cannot have that for a super hero. :smiley1:

Now that would be one super hero that packs a punch. :smiley1: I have thought about making him a customized ring on one hand that it like a set of brass knuckles. I am talking like a HUGE four finger ring kind of like the rap stars used to tote around. The ring could be engraved with an "MM" logo. So when Money Man punches out the villians he would be like branding their forehead at the same time with the "MM" logo seal of approval. :smiley1:
On his other hand would be another ring with a big rock (diamond that is) on it. The ring would be able to cut through anything that would happen to get in Money Man's path. Whatcha think?
