    Talos?

    Hiya folks.

Is there any knowledge or rumors about an EMCE Talos? I know they would have to tool a smaller body if they wanted to stay true to the Mego release. However, the gorn was updated, perhaps this one may be as well??

    thanks

I'd like to see the Talosian Reproduced...but in 8" scale(the Head could be enlarged, or James could sculpt a new one)...and in the correct Uniform(silver Gown).

I do not know this to be a fact although I could not imagine EMCE not remaking a Talos since EMCE is doing the other Star Trek Aliens. EMCE just has to do a Talos. Well, I guess they really do not have to, but it would be really super cool if they did. I will probably buy an army of them when and if they are ever produced.

I think a Talos could possibly be put on a female body, considering the real actors who played the Talosians were women.

A female body would give them proper height, and also give them the lanky look a male body does not have.

I think that it's an good idea for 2009 although the Neptunian leaves me
kind of cold. I like the idea of using a female body to give them the
androgonous look, but I doubt DST or the fans would go for it.

A new sculpt on a regular body would probably look better.

....Besides, if ole' Jimmy T. ever caught wind that the Talosians were female, General order number 7 would be violated in so many strange and possibly disgusting ways that the Talos star group would never be the same again!!!

                      two packs as exclusives

                      Hiya folks,

Glad to see some interest in more of the Trek aliens.

Would anyone go for a two pack of updated aliens/ old school aliens? I know lots of folks are hot for the new Gorn. Myself, I appreciate the Brady sculpt and will definitely add this to the pile, but I also have a soft spot for the good old Mego kitbash Gorn. EMCE has the Klingon and now the Apes, so add the Lizard head in brown and you have a new old Gorn. Perhaps this could go as a limited or promo or con exclusive with both figures on a double blister card?

One could do the same if the Talos(ian) were remade. If the head sculpt was the same Egghead, one could use a tall slender body with a robe for the update, and keep the shorty in the clown suit as well. I really can't imagine why Talos was dressed as he was; but if it was crazy to do it the first time, why not do it again in tribute?

A pretty far fetched idea for the Talos(ian), I know seeing as there is tooling for both types of figures and it would certainly be a limited run, but it is fun playing around with the idea. Anyone for a disco monkey/ yeti monkey two pack?

I think the idea is great as getting a ROTO lizard head would make my day, but will there be a market for an accurate Mugato- the GI JOE club has made 2 fur covered figures but they are metal armitures with batting and "fur" covering. To make an accurate Mego style would require re tooling all the parts ( like Doc has done so wonderfully with Gorn's legs) and may drive up the tooling costs.
