Yeah, Shazam is just a cool figure. I hate to call him Shazam though. He's Captain Marvel dammit! Take your Kree nega-bands and shove 'em!!!

I never had Shazam as a kid, but I would have loved to. I dug the live action show. I'm guessing Shazam, Joker, and Penguin were pretty short packed before they were axed? I never saw them, but had multiples of the "Final Six" over the course of 77 (or so)-82.

I'm extremely partial to the very early T1 figures in the boxy outfits,
but I love seeing all the Mego catalog pages, showing the various (and unfortunately dwindling) WGSH assortments through the years.

Had the big yellow cheese when I was a kid, but just didn't really appreciate him. Although I watched the show pretty religiously, Shazam never got involved in the big action play. If mine still exists somewhere, he's probably in pretty good shape.

I love Shazam! He and Isis went together, at least I thought so and the reason I loved him so much back then. I never even realised back then that the mego Shazam represented the cartoon and mego Isis the TV show. I figured they were both the TV show figures.

Definitely my favorite Mego of all time.

His costume is dynamic and iconic, he's a cool character and could slap Superman around a bit. I always loved their team-ups/fights through the years culminating in Kingdom Come. I've got a minty loose one and a MOC 1977 carded version. THe cape could have been done better, but overall a great looking figure and my personal fav.

i think they should have made an alter ego billy batson. not the kid mind you but the one that drove around in the r.v. on the old t.v. show. man those were the days.

My buddy Steve was the first kid on the block to get a SHAZAM figure after he showed it off i ran home and buged my mom to drive me to J.M Fields so i could get on but i had to wait till my dad got paid on fri night, Which i got a boxed type1 SHAZAM which he still ranks on top of my favs list

Captain Marvel was my favorite of the WGSH line. Over the 70s I must have had 4 of him in my collection. I recall my first one, a T-1, broke and he was soon replaced by my parents and a neighbor with 2 T-2s on my birthday. If I recall correctly I also got two Captain Americas that year. And when I returned to Mego collecting this past January my first addition, after the POTA line, was Captain Marvel. In fact I have two of them: an original T-2 and a kitbashed T-2 with short yellow pirate boots and a white cape. One day I will add the yellow trim and possibly the tassles to the cape.

The Alter Ego Peter Parker is the perfect double for an AE Billy Batson.

Cartoon? You mean he represented the Shazam from the comic books. There was no Shazam cartoon when Mego released their Shazam. The Shazam cartoon made its debut in 1981.

i love shazam . he is cool and i think he has some nice colors mego kept him i think because he had bright colors and that attratced kids . i loved the show captain marvel wth the motor home. then came teh isis show with joanna cameron . mike
