Munsters or Adams Family?

I like both but I always thought it would be cool to have Grandpa as a grandpa and Spot as a pet...cousin Maralyn was pretty sweet too. Then again "It" was pretty cool and so was Uncle Fester. I guess I'll pick Munsters by narrow margin.

Addams family is ok, but when you get down to the nuts and bolts --- they're just rich nutty people.

Not really a fan of either show , but if I had to choose i'd firmly be in the Munsters camp....great make up and characters that are reminiscent of the universal classics...

I like the Addams.
The music was really cool...not just the Theme tune.
And Morticia was lovely...very lovely.

I like both, but I'll say Munsters too. Like Mike said, they were working class monsters, and that's a more intriguing concept than a family of ghouish but mostly normal people. Lurch, Thing and Cousin It certainly weren't normal, but Gomez, Mortica and the kids were at least human.

Plus the Munsters had the makeup, cars, groovy theme song, and just zanier type of comedy. Addams were more subtle. And I like my comedies more whacky.

I like both. But the Addams Family had consistantly better writing of the two. Plus they had Morticia. So if was forced to chose I would have to say Addams Family.

I gotta admit that I've always confused the two, so I can't really pick a side. Is ok if I pick the "Gruesomes" from Flintstones? I figure they had to be at least partially based on either of the two choices.

The Addams. Come on,that show always had something blowing up. Gomez was always blowing up his trains and Uncle Fester was always blowing up everything else. Fester also has his lightbulb trick. Someone brought up the fact that their rich. Sure but how many people can make money off of lint? That was one of Gomez's stocks when he read his stock ticker.
