    Any Frightenstein Fans?

The Hilarious House of Frightenstein | with Billy Van Vincent Price.

I've probably mentioned this (a lot) before but I pretty much born and raised on Hilarious House of Frightenstein, it's definitely where my love of monsters comes from.

It's hard to sit through now but i occasionally sit in on a groovy Wolfman psychadelic scene.

Anybody else have their brains warped by this series?

    I did!

I loved this show when I was a kid. I always remembered the ending when Vincent Price would say "The castle lights are growing dim...". I bought the DVD, last year I think, and enjoyed the heck out of it. I'd forgotten a lot of the skits they'd done, but after watching the DVD it all came flooding back to me.

I really regret not going to the Frightenstein convention they held a few years ago in Toronto, some surviving people from the show were there. Sadly Billy Van has left us.

I watched the show all the time when I was a kid, on channel 11 (CHCH!). It's a shame that Billy Van is no longer with us, he WAS that show. (I also remember watching him on "Party Game" with my parents). I have fond memories of Frightenstein (not too many shows could get me to wake up for a 6am viewing), but I'm not sure if I could sit through it today, I'm kind of scared to try. I don't want to potentially ruin the memories.

Being Canadian, I too grew up with this show. I must say, I hated it as a kid, and when it was recently rerun, I find I still dont care for it. Along with Rocket Robin Hood, and the original Spiderman, this show was run unrepentently over and over again for years to fullfill Canadian content rules. I still can sit and watch Spidey, and I still think RRH was a classic---Canadas Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon. Frightenstein...sorry...it just dont agree with me.

Holy Moly! I wish I had known about this one. I would have gone for sure.

Frightenstein was as much a staple as Rocket Robin Hood when I was growing up.

I also really dug TVO's Eureka a great deal.

I never heard of it until I came here, but being in the sticks of KY, that doesn't surprise me. We had Uncle Al out of Cincinnati, that was our local kids show.

I never saw Rocket Robin Hood. It only seemed to be on City TV in my general area when I was a kid, and we couldn't pull in their weak signal on the TV antenna and didn't have cable, so I missed out on that (along with City's late night softcore porn offerings).
