    New Licensees Chance Of Happening

OK I'm not as familiar as others here but here's the line I think alot of people want and maybe putting odds of them happening (And NO not personal opinion I want REAL odds.)I'm not putting obscure lines that they might get I want to see the odds on the heavy hitters: (Even though these are MY favorites to be in the new Mego)

    Star Wars
    Marvel
    DC
    Battlestar Galactica
    Buck Rogers
    Planet Of The Apes
    Aliens/Predator/Robocop/Terminator (Are these at NECA?)
    Golden Age Superheroes
Airwolf (I always wanted these in MEGO form)
Ghostbusters/Real Ghostbusters (I don't think Mattel has the 8" format anymore)
    Green Hornet (1960's TV Show)
    MOTU/Thundercats
    Dungeon's & Dragons
    Walking Dead
Night Of The Living Dead & Other Romero Films
    Conan (More than FTC has)
    V

I just need to find out real chances are this might happen and feel free to add lines I might have forgotten this isn't a "Wish list" just some of the lines that we MIGHT get and the chances...

You might want to check in over here:
I was dwelling on some of the figures that were made and how (to me) they are kind of a head scratcher.. Like Tootie and Norm... why make them? But I was thinking of some stuff I would love to see... Back To The Future stuff is at the top of my list. Classic Lost In Space would be cool, too.

This isn't the same it's more of an odds of getting them than a "Wish List"

SW and Marvel odds are pretty bad I'd say.
McFarlane still has WD I think, so that's not available
Green Hornet probably has a shot
They already have some access to DC so Mattel is open to sharing the rights with them, so it might give Mego an in road to He-Man
        Galactica has been done
Apes and Buck Rogers have fallen flat for other companies already
        NOTLD maybe
Conan looks to be available, FTC isn't doing any more with it
        Busters may have a chance
Airwolf has really limited appeal, I could see Knight Rider happening sooner
V?? Not sure if it has any appeal outside fringe folks

Golden Age Superheroes of any sort might be a good idea to get people's attention, bright colorful figures will draw attention to displays and cross into comic shop types too.

Dungeons and dragons- No. Owned by Hasbro.
Motu- No. The rights are complicated. Universal and Mattel. Mattel has the rights to any mass market action figure line.
          Thundercats-Yes
          Star Wars- No
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I dunno about Thundercats. Between Mattycollector's line going nowhere and Super7 getting shot down to take over, WB has some issue with the license. And since this is a WB property and 8-inch, I would think FTC would get first right of refusal. Maybe they got the rights which is what schtupped Super7?

Galactica has not been done well or completed...
Apes & Buck No Mego could do them justice
V,Airwolf and others would have more appeal than the current tv mego lines

                Maybe Micronauts

I don't get why V hasn't been done by anybody. Even if it didn't include actor likeness it seems a slam dunk to do some generic visitors.

I'd pretty much buy them in any format save for MOTU.

Eh, properties like Airwolf and Knight Rider I would say no to unless a in scale vehicle is included.(not saying a in scale helicopter or car for 8 inch figures wouldn't be cool lol )

Has anyone suggested an 8" M*A*S*H line?
That's gotta be a ticks-all-the-boxes possibility with Mego.

Would love to see anything V related, but am very aware it's probably note a viable license.

It feels like the Wave 1 line up is a litmus test for what people are interested in.

Some TV show licenses, like Brady Bunch, is going to need a lot more than 3 waves to give any kind of completion to (2 packs could be a good option though). Same with Cheers, you're looking at 6 more characters to make that anything worthy of the license (Sam, Diane/Becky, Cliff, Woody/Coach, Frasier, Lilith and Carla). I'm hoping the future announced licenses do more classic tv shows from the 60s, Get Smart, Wild Wild West, Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, Time Tunnel, etc. Shows with two main leads so the line doesn't require a tonne of committment to a lot of characters/likensses.

I just hope new Megos keep pushing the 'these are the figures you wish you had in the 70s/80s in Mego's hey day' mentality.

V and Airwolf appeal to you, but to the general public? not so much.
Apes were tried by EMCE and Neca and didn't get beyond one wave and Buck got two figures done and nothing past it.
If sales were there for Galactica it would have been completed but it did not happen. The sales may have been killed by poor execution.
