Breaking News!! Filmation's Dc Super Hero Cartoons On Dvd Are Coming!!!!

Attention any fans of the classic DC Comics animated shows. I was just on TVShowsOnDVD.com and caught the awesome announcement!!

After releasing half of the 1966-68 Superman series, the complete 1977 Batman series, and the complete 1967 Aquaman series, Warner Home Video has announced the next classic DCU DVD set will be:

DC SUPER HEROES: THE FILMATION ADVENTURES!!!!

It will supposedly contain all 18 episodes of the "guest" segments from the Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure.

    The Justice League of America
    The Flash
    Green Lantern
    Hawkman
    The Atom
    The Teen Titans

    STREET DATE: RETAIL PRICE:

    August 12 $24.98

I NEVER once thought these cartoons would ever get DVD treatment, but it's finally happened and already can't wait to get this.
Just go to http://www.tvshowsonsdvd.com and see for yourself. At the bottom the box art for the front has been revealed. The designs show Superman, Green Lantern, Hawkman, The Flash, and the Atom. They look like a cross between Filmation and the SuperFriends designs on the cover.

    Cheers.

^^^ Don't hold your breath on Superboy, with all the legal issues between DC and the creators families it will be awhile. DC has gone so far as removing all references to SuperBOY from its comics, killing the current one and referring to the one from Crisis as Superman Prime.

                Whoa. This is a surprise!

Now we need the rest of Superman, all of Superboy, 68 Batman, and 80s Shazam from Filmation.

Just thought of this: Aquaman isn't on this DVD other than in the JLA intro, is he? I've never seen the original intro, but I understand Aquaman is in it, but not in the JLA shorts.

Think WB could digitally fix Kid Flash's horrendous costume?

I like to think of KF costume as an homage to Johnny Quick. But seriously if they fixed it I woudl want them to fixt the moving Robin symbol and the famous filmation symbol color reverses

you're correct, aquaman isn't in the JLA cartoons except the opening...odd.

so glad these are hitting dvd!

Just messin' with ya. Although Kid Flash's Filmation costume does bother me (and my son) to no end. The comic KF had one of the best costumes ever...
