OK, after backing off the JLA custom line I've been working on, I got back into it with Ollie Queen. I basically ripped off the Errol Flynn costume design from Robin Hood and combined it with the color scheme of the original costume giving him the reddish gloves and boots. I also had to go with the gimmick arrows, I always loved the boxing glove one. He's a Hasbro Ollie with all new costuming and a bow and arrow from Hawkeye. I rigged up an interchangable arrowhead gimmick using snaps glued to the heads and the arrow shaft.

Very cool, very fresh take on an old standard. Absolutely sweet looking figure and an impressive addition to your collection of customs. My personal goal with GA is sometime this year to make one based on the Longbow Hunters saga. Nobody knew the character like Mike Grell.

ok, so i hadnt gotten around to posting here about joe's new custom....hadnt forgotten, just doing the rounds...as for the custom...it is pretty sweet. love the boxing glove arrow. he has been on my to do list since i caught him on reruns of smallville..maybe some day..this might just inspire me to do my own....anywho...great job as always, J!!
