I'm interested (and I'll be buying some), but curious what Early Bird variants means, and what comes with these versions? Are these going to be rotocast and China manufactured heads and clothes, or hand cast and sewn items? Will these be the finished versions with additional extras or strictly prototype versions? Thanks for your response and good luck.

China made for sure, just the first production pieces for those willing to pre-pay and some cool extras to say thanks!...

The ERB, will include another variant head that you you can interchange. We got approval to have a more gritty Capt. Action with a more intense face and five o'clock shadow, Dr. Eville is TBD. The accessories, will be the color of the original artwork silver belt with red stripe, gold handled sword etc... while the others will have the original blue. We are working out all the details now, but you get the gist... The first production figures with extra goodies, a trading card, and a certificate...

Just so I am clear, the Early Bird figures come with a variant head and variant accessories. But will they come with the standard accessories as well?

Dave,
Quick question? Will Castaway Toys be accepting orders in the near future via Money Orders? I really like the stuff your getting ready to put out (especially the Western figures and gun gripping hands....saw them at the Comic Con 08') and wanted to know the form of payments accepted.

How will the stuff from the Dr. Evil lab set be made available? I.E the eyeball device etc. Or was that just one-of props?

Just ordered a set. Can't wait! The head variant with the five o'clock shadow should look great ... I ordered a CA Superman mask on Ebay a while back that someone had tried to remove a magic marker beard from. It wasn't a completely successful removal, but does look great when placed over a CA-suited figure and topped with the Captain's hat. It's also good for helping to achieve the "evil" Superman look from Superman III.

Jason made those as props for the diorama... having said that, we may find a way to sneak some of that and other classic CA stuff in:silly: No promises, but we dig that stuff ourselves...

Thanks yall! the response has been nothing short of Spectacular! The museum support alone is enough to have made this successfull. I feel confident, with support like this, we will be making some cool figures for along time!

The Phantom is sailing through the King Features Approval process... they like what they see and this bodes well for a timely release, as well as future King Feature properties:silly:.

The plan for release is simply after CA and DR. E so maybe July-ish?.. might be a good thing to launch at a certain little comic swarée in Southern California:costumed-smiley-063

as for Bodies, Boots, gloves, parts and pieces? Our fervant hope is to have this on hand at MEGO MEET for you guys to go ape with:monkey:

For those of us not fortunate to make it to Mego Meet, will these items be available shortly after on the CAT website? And tell me, please tell me, this includes the long talked about glove tops as well as those fist and open hand gloves you showed us a month or two ago.
