Martian Manhunter Question

Hello folks. I just got Martian Manhunter on the red retro card. Instead of the red straps being crossed like an "X" across his chest, they are parallel to one another, so that he looks like he's wearing suspenders. Did anyone else run into this with him?

I'm not sure if I got a "bad" figure and should try to exchange him for another one, or if I can take him out of the packaging and adjust the straps manually.

I'd love to hear from anyone who encountered this and hear what you did about it.

Can you cross them? Or are they crossed in the back as if they were put on him backwards?
