I no longer have most of the Scholastic stuff I got as a kid (I've moved far too many times and was forced by my folks to get rid of most of my stuff every time we moved, a practice I often followed when moving as an adult too). I remember most vividly getting some of the Tempo Books DC reprint books and some Flash Gordon illustrated prose books (I have since reacquired most of these ones through), as those survived longer than most of the other stuff.
I do remember some of the books I had, and doing an image search on google turned up some of them...
I hate snakes so this book creeped me out as a kid, making it stick out in my memory...
I was a big fan of the Harlem Globetrotters as a kid and had this one too...
I remember having this dinosaur book gotten at a Scholastic book fair as well...
This was the first of the Tempo Books I got...
and this was the first Flash Gordon book I got at a book fair...
I had more, I just can't recall them as clearly as I do these books.

Great thread! I loved those books, it was huge in our small school. I remember reading and rereading that monster make up book over and over. And Dynamite magazine was always a treat, and I had the one with Fonzie shown here as well. I had a dozen or so of the Peanuts books, which were collections of the daily strips. There was also something for older kids called "Supermag" which was like People Magazine for pre teens. I had one with Farrah on the cover for years. I'm pretty sure I tossed all of that stuff in a purge before my last move a dozen years ago, but it's hard to say what lurks in some of the boxes in my basement.Comment

Great memories... I had a few of those books pictured.
I remember regularly looking forward to the Scholastic "catalogue" at school.
The best publication I got from that was the softcover version of the Star Wars Storybook.PUNY HUMANS!Comment
