    Tickle Me Jimmie Walker

So powerful was Jimmy Walker's presence on "Good Times" that he was the recipient of two different plush novelties in 1976. Above the deluxe talking edition, which is the least terrifying looking plush on the page.

A scowling plush of James Evans Sr (played by John Amos) that said things like "I'm gonna get my belt!" would have been the perfect companion to this (and likely not sell a single unit).

And here is the lower priced, "Kid Din-O-Mite" doll.

Both of these figures were made by Shindana, a company that I personally adore. You can see the 1976 catalog here.

The only Shindana doll I have/had is Rodney Allen Rippy. As much as I liked JJ, I don't think I would have wanted the doll. BTW, I have/had the black version of #6 (Drowsy talking doll).

All their stuff is nice, I have read that Mattel was an investor, so they may have loaned their talent?

The red outfit look like the pajamas he wore on the show. Wonder if they have the little flap in the back?

I loved JJ as a kid, but that very nice, realistic sculpt is nice, but combined with that lanky, stuffed body...it's the stuff of nightmares.

Did anyone make any What's Happening toys? I would imagine Rerun could be the subject of some fun toys.

Since Mego sadly didn't immortalize Good Times, FTC should…*and if the licensing is a mess, how about a Dyno-Woman fig!?!

Yep, great sculpt, but creepy toy.

The J.J. red pajamas one has good face detail, but has the body of the aliens from Close Encounters, yikes
