DC Direct "History of the DC Universe" Figures

Coming in Fall '08, based on George Perez artwork from the 2-part "History of the DC Universe" mini-series (1986):

Blue Devil
Manhunter (Goodwin/Simonson version)
Earth-2 Robin

Future assortments:

Professor Zoom-The Reverse Flash
Silver Age Brainiac
Creeper
Deadman
Black Lightning
Captain Atom (1986 version)...original Charlton costume as variant?
Silver Age J'onn J'onzz
Flash
Superman
Elongated Man (purple suit)
Nightwing and Flamebird (Superman and Jimmy Olsen versions)

I like this approach because it allows them to cover a slew of characters/eras without locking them into little niche releases like they usually do and hopefully avoid multiple versions of Superman and Batman in every freakin' wave. Potentially anyone can be a part of this line.

No pics yet to my knowledge...that's just the list in progress.

I'm surprised on Earth-2 Robin falling under this banner in a way...for several reasons:
1) As far as "History of the DC Universe" goes, E2 Robin was already a moot point by then as the multiverse had converged into one singular universe, without E2 Robin.
2) He was already released as part of the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" line...
3) Which was also based on George Perez' art

I personally am excited about Blue Devil, Manhunter, Silver Age Brainy, Creeper, Black Lightning and Nightwing/Flamebird. To my knowledge this would be a first for these versions of the characters in DC Direct format.
