So I grabbed up some new indy toys at the times square toys r us in new york city. They didnt ring up, then said theyre not supposed to go on sale until the first. They charged it up and it says "Markdown" on the receipt in place of the product name, and a manager rushed over to take everything off that shelf.

Was a lucky break i guess? Has anything like this ever happened to anyone?

it's happened to me with DVD movies,I remember getting Cars & the Reissue of the little Mermaid on DVD like 2 months before it was out :grin:

Yeah. I'm sure many here remember the Walmart debacle with the Spiderman 3 figures. Many stores placed the free standing displays out in stores nearly a full week before they were suppose to come out. I came to the check out lane with a handful and was told I couldn't buy any of them. It was truly bizaare. They ended up doing me a favor...:smiley1:
