Direct from Smallville...the Boy of Steel!

Just arrived today. Superboy turned out pretty well: his head is not as oversized in person as it looked in the photos. The head is well-sculpted, but I'd have preferred a more neutral expression. The suit is nice---the S is well-placed and the blue really pops. Teen body works well for the character. Now bring on some Legionnaires, FTC!

Thanks! Looks like what we saw in the promos. I wish the suit was tighter at the sleeves and the belt loops were higher, but I look forward to picking him up.

Yeah I'm definitely going to have to do something about the belt. I may transfer the head and suit to a larger body as well, although the head does not look as big in person as it does in the photos I took. What do you guys think?

Might look nice along side the Teen Titans collection.

It's described on FTC's website as a eight inch figure. So this is actually on a six inch Titan figure?

Superboy is on the same slim 8-inch body as Capt. Marvel, Jr and Korak---a much better look than the old 7-inch Titans body IMO.

^^^ Ah! Okay. Yeah, I have Korak and I agree. He looks much better than the Titan bodies.

Has anyone seen Terminator Genisys and that scene when the Terminator tries to smile? Asking for a friend...

I can definitely see where they were going with this. Overall, I really like the figure. My only gotcha is the belt loops. I'd just pick the threads loose and move them up. I think by using the standard costume on the teen body you get more of a "Mom said I'd grow into it" look, so I like it. Again, for a teen look having the head a little large but not HUGE, it works. I like it. I'll hold off until I see the first Legion of Super Heroes figures. But that's just me.

I think the issue with smiles on figures is that the paint jobs aren't detailed enough or realistic enough to make them work.
