It hasn't hit any of the theaters near me. I've been keeping an eye out for it too..
A good zombie flick is always fun.
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.
It's terrible, Romero tries to shove the social commentary down your throat in this one.
I'm getting the shakes just thinking about how awful it was.
The bits I heard were that he tried to copy the whole Blair Witch, Cloverfield thing and didnt come close to pulling it off.
Man all of his zombie movies really pushed the social commentary thing. I cant imagine him pushing it more?

I got a copy of the dvd. Looks good. I am going to watch it tonight. Looks like some kind of zombie version with a Blair Witch camera third party viewing effect to it.
More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...
I bought and watched it last night. I personally liked it but I am a huge Romero fan so I may be biased. It's certainly not his best film by a long shot but its still a Romero zombie film.
There were some new inovative ways of killing zombies that I thought was neat. The bonus features had some neat extras as well.
I will probably watch it again over the weekend.
There was one scene that had DOTD written all over it. Watch the film and post which scene you think I am reffering to.......
Good or bad, I hope he continues to make movies. I do worry though because he really doesnt look like he is in the best of health and apparently on set, he lives on coffee and cigs. which doesnt do anyone any good.
A few years ago when I met him at the FX show in Orlando, I asked him to PLEASE keep making movies and he replied " I will if I live long enough". I thought that was an ominous comment.
Anyway, I would suggest just watching it without having high expectations and it should be a fun ride.

He could always come back as a Zombie...And finish all his movie ideas
The Afterlife of The Dead
"I've just bought a house. It's got a Buck Rogers Toilet. One yank, all gone!"
