    Attaching custom rotocast heads

Hi, I am trying to attach a custom rotocast heads from Dr mego to an emce body and was wondering what's the best way to do this is don't want to break either piece.

Does the body have screws in the back? If so, loosen the screws some and slip the neck plug in and tighten the screws. Or if it's a soft, squishy head, heat the head in some boiled water for about twenty seconds and force it in the neck hole.

No unfortunately it's a hard head and their are no screws on the back of the body.

Then, I'd say you have Doc's resin head and not rotocast, Heat the head's neck post in boiled water for about forty five seconds and cram it into the neck hole. That should work.

Since you're new to it, I'll rephrase some of what I said. In stead of just cramming the neck plug in, take care while inserting with force. The longer you let the neck plug sit in the boiled water, the better it'll go in. Maybe shave the edge of the plug down a little but it must remain bigger than the neck opening. You want it to go in and hold it in place, but if it's too wide, it could tear the resin.
            Have fun!

Fearing that I would crack/split a two part Dr. Mego torso, I started out by boiling and spliting the torso in two. Using superglue along the contact points, insert the painted head. Wrap torso with rubberbands, allow to completly dry. Restring body with elastic cord. Tie off at torso/pelvis. With hobby knife or sharp scissors cut off rubberbands.

i just trim the neck plug with rough sandpaper a bit at a time and keep trying until it fits.

Whatever you do, don't use an EMCE Hammer! Trust me.
