CHIPS action Figures Mego

I have been watching several episodes of CHIPs on METV and enjoying that 70s nostalgia but now I am wondering IF Figures Toy Company could ever revive this once promising Mego toyline. I have read several articles on the Chips Mego line and am saddened that the head sculpts turned into a zombie green color as they aged. It be nice if the line made a comeback but im wondering if im the only one on here who wants Chips to make an action figure comeback? chpismego.jpgchipsd.jpg

I had a big crush on Ponch once upon a time, it would be nice to see a well done sculpt of him.

One that doesn't suffer from zombification, or have that AWFUL rictus smile on its face. It honestly reminded me of the Joker a couple of times.

I know CHiPS is getting a comedy reboot movie (a la Dukes of Hazzard or Starsky & Hutch), but I doubt the old TV show has the following to warrant a ReMego line.

You have to remember, in 1998 there was the 6" Re-Mego released by Premiere Exclusive.

^ nice pic ,i remember those exclusive premiere figures ,they were awful ,i did buy the get smart ones though .I have a few chips figures ,a couple
had zombied out .but some i also have some that are fine ,i have a sarge thats doesnt have the zombie head and one that does ,the zombie
heads kinda have a slimey feel to them .i also have a ponch ands jon that dont have that zombie thing going .i also dont think chips has
enough commercial appeal for a new line ,but if they did,and had new heads ,i would get them like i did the dukes .

I would like to see new Mego versions of CHiPs myself. As long as they have all the stickers and accessories. BUT I would also like to see more than
Jon, Ponch, and Sgt Getraer. I would also like to see other cops like Artie Grossman, Barry Baricza, And yes, even the Nelson Brothers Bobby and Bruce. And maybe one of the female Chippies like Cindy Cahill or Bonnie Clark. It may not happen, but I can only dream

I think a retro CHIPS series line would be cool, with all the characters mentioned above and there motorcycles
and a CHIPS van, but not sure how sales would be outside of Jon and Ponch? the others may not sell well?

If FTC did the Dukes, I'm not sure why CHiPs would be off limits. I would think that CHiPs has about as big of a following, along these lines. Of course, I may be mistaken.

I think that CHiPs 40th anniversary is next year.

The best thing I could see coming from the CHiPS line would be a set of helmets that could be painted for Battle Of The Planets customs.
