WIP: Dida Displays Stately Caverns, Wayne Foundation

Did an update post today about production of the Stately Caverns preorders. It shows some of the design process and early ideas.

    Check it Out Here.

As a bonus, all the talk lately about the Wayne Foundation inspired me to see what happens if you plug WF art into a Dida Stacked playset similar to Stately...Kinda cool. I'm working on getting the art scanned now.

What a great idea! I love the original art inside there! I'm gonna order one!
and to clarify, are you saying that you are including the original WF scans as part of your Stately Caverns playset? or am I just too excited and am reading into it?

No, that would be a separate set altogether.

It would be made from 3 blank Displayboxes and a Tower with a separate charge for printing the art and assembling--though I am going to be putting together tutorials for do-it-yourself types. It's fairly easy depending on the project.

Looks like you have some different graphics there, Scott. How many did you go through before you decided on the ones you're using now?

              http://www.decaturvader.com/mego/waynefoundation/

Just uploaded those files. I got the originals from someone here years ago...I painted out the spiderveins and tears....and assembled the scans to form each level.

They used to be on Mitch's Preservation site...might still be.

Wow, Scott. The Dida format works really well with the WF art. Excellent idea!

Just send me an email or PM. I am making extra Stately sets that the preorders, so it wouldn't be that long a wait. Blank sets are ready to go and most of the art on my site is available.

                      Thanks!

You're breaking my heart, Chad. I had planned to do an update on the blog, but a mini progress report on these is that the walls and towers should be done this weekend, the sliding doors have been assembled--but the shakespeare cover needs to be made. The batpole box should finished next week, the batsignal needs to be done, the ledges cut...I'm pushing to get these done by next weekend. I'm making 12 of them at once...

                              Breaking your heart?
I'm sure the wait will be all worth it.
And besides, you're making 12 of em for me?!? How cool is that!
