Chicago area Comic and Collectible Toy Stores

So many of us are already going to be at Aw Yeah Comics on Thursday.

Last year, some ambitious individuals also hit some collectible toy stores in the Chicago area.

Including multiple locations of Quake Collectibles.

I'm likely going to have more time in the Chicago area, particularly downtown.

Which toy or comic shops should I check out?

Quake Collectibles in Lincoln Square was by far the most promising.

HI Samurainor, as a lifelong native of Chicago, I would also like to recommend; KA BLAM On Belmont street, and Time Traveler right off Irving Park road on Harlem! Both shops are top of the line. Please AVOID the HUNT COLLECTIBLES in Worth, IL. Crap store and smaller than a closet!!

For comic books, I recommend Chicago Comics, Graham Cracker comics in Naperville and AF comics in Frankfurt for a wide variety and selection, including silver and golden age books!!

    Cheers!

    Jorge.

PS: Also avoid QUAKE in Evanston, as the guy who runs the place, takes NO CARE In the property as he has toys on the floor, where people CAN TRIP OVER THEM and I have complained to the QUAKE in Schaumberg about this too!!!

Jorge, thank you so much for the suggestions! It's greatly appreciated.

I do remember Graham Crackers from previous visits to Chicago in the past and will most definitely check it out again, along with Ka-blam and Time Traveller.

I recommend a trip to Dreamland Comics in Libertyville, IL. It's about 20 minutes from Megomeet and the owner is a massive Mego Collector... and handsome and smart and modest.

He is also offering a 20% DISCOUNT to any megomeeters who stop by and visit.

Ed, I too recommend KaBlam on Belmont Avenue, it's a tightly packed little place but there's loads of great stuff in there, quite a bit of vintage toys! There's some other kitschy stores and comic shops and record shops all within walking distance from there too, so it's a good area to visit.

                          HERE too!
Chicago's best vintage toy and collectible store - focusing on 80s and 90s toys with tons of newer collectibles. Buying vintage toys from many toy lines. Great selection of vintage household items too!
