Fighting Furies will make a big splash

I'll never understand why I don't own any of these wonderful Matchbox Fighting Furies figures. I should fix that, post haste!

They're addictive! Probably my favorite line next to Mego.

This line is gorgeous. Reminds me quite a bit of the Gabriel Lone Ranger line as far as the overall aesthetic.

Hey, I have that octopus! Hasbro also used it for the GIJoe line.

One of my favorite lines. Peg Leg was my very first action figure.

Jaded as I am, it still makes me smile when I consider that Matchbox cared enough to make Peg-Leg's wooden leg hollow to include a small, rolled treasure map. That's play value, folks.

I think Chris and PS are correct about the Gabriel parallels. Mego's are 8", Furies 9"--aren't Gabriel figures 10" like Big Jim?

Had the guy rockin' the side pony as a kid. The big debate between my friend and me was would it be worse to have a peg leg or a hook for a hand. I opted for the hook.

Interesting prototype of the Kidd figure in that image.

Yes--and, I'm pretty sure the sailboat is a modified Big Jim boat.
