    Captain Harlock Action Figure

In France, they released this amazing Captain Harlock doll using a 12" GI Joe body. These were also sold in Quebec, I had one of these in 1987, paid a whopping ten bucks for it.

One of my toy collecting mentors/friends really wanted it, he was a great guy so I traded it to him thinking "I'll find another one", yeah I'm still waiting.....For more Fashion Mockery and 70's toy love visit us at Plaid Stallions.com

Do you remember what kind of Joe body it was like the earlier ones or a later muscle body?

Oh Man!!!!!!!!!!! I love this figure. I miss the one I had. One day I will find another. I know Austin did a great head shrink to Mego scale. So maybe some cool customs will show up soon!

Very cool to know some of these figures made it to North America sadly it can't have been many cause they haven't shown up.

Fanboy heads up: They are scarce but there are few knock offs of Captain Harlocks's gun molded in day glow colors green, orange, and maybe yellow?

A naked one from GB was sold on eBay for 170$ three weeks ago.

Awesome! I wonder what the difference is in the joint connections that keeps these together where the Hasbro ones disintegrate.

I remember being wowed when I first saw this figure in Toy Shop. Never saw one in person.

Good question, do all 12" muscle body Joes disintegrate like the Super Joes do?

I've never seen that figure before. If the head were in the hands of some of the customizers on this board I bet there'd be knock out looking figures in fabric.
There's the new big figure that I thought looked ok that was based on the cgi animated movie, but I prefer the look of the classic or original CH. I have had these figures for years, but they're all plastic:

Made with the same joints as USA Muscle Body GIJoes so they disintegrate too. Some French Joes have heat sealed joints on their muscle bodies so they are a huge pain to fix.

the action man MB joints were better. it is a ball joint. their neck band seems to disintegrate like the Joe's though

Damn would have wanted one of those when i was a kid.
I wish when all the retro stuff started in the 3 3/4" that Starblazers and Battle Of the Planets would have been made.
