    Anyone up for some CHips?

Anyone interested in FTC re doing the classic CHips action figures? I have been re watching the show after 3 decades and wondering if FTC might even consider re releasing this property? chpismego.jpgchipsd.jpg

As long as they don't become zombies. But please, no rictus smile like Ponch had originally. That was just freaky.

        It wouldn't surprise me.

I think they're planning on making Starsky and Hutch.

Estrada grinned like that in every damn episode. And Lord knows FTC loves smiles--except when teeth are obligatory, like Sivana lol.

But: The Mego sculpts were awful.

I already have a Ponch and John. I'd rather something new.

I have Starsky and Hutch, so I'm not really interested in retreads of the characters.

I'd like to see something completely new and creative from them, not just a hot property.

                Honestly?
I'd rather see them redo the Waltons.

FTC already makes most of the costume and accessories for CHiPs. All they would need is the heads and the stickers. I would buy them if they made them, ESPECIALLY if they made the motorcycles. The original figures aren't that hard to find, but the motorcycles are pretty pricey.

I knew I liked you. How can I not chime in? I love the show, I loved the Mego versions, I'd love the opportunity to complete the whole Walton family. But admittedly, that's very idiosyncratic.

I'd honestly have zero interest. I thought I'd be all over the extended Dukes universe, and I barely bought any of them. They're already getting my money on heroes and other stuff that's coming soon. There are about ten 70s shows I can name in a blink that I'd rather see licensed, and I doubt I'd be a buyer on all of them when it came down to it. The market is getting saturated....I think they need to choose wisely going forward.

I would truly rather see more Waltons or WoOz.

I didn't pick up the Walton's figures in the 70's because I was a kid who's head was filled with Adam West's Batman and not much more.
While my parents & grandparents did watch the Waltons, I didn't really start to appreciate it until I was an adult.
Also, the Mego Walton's seemed (to me) to be marketed towards girls.

I do remember the episode where their house caught fire and I thought to myself that if I did own the Mego Waltons & house, how much fun it might be to reenact that episode.
So, maybe it's a good thing that I never owned that playset as a kid.
