Last weeks Spock Vs Vader Thread had me thinking of who could give Vader a run for his money. Here is my list of contenders

Professor X.
Dark Phoenix
Superman
Galactus
The Borg

Look at all the films...there was no one badder in the SW world than Kenobi, no one.

He whipped Darth Maul, General Grievous, and bratty/annoying Anakin Skywalker.

...and like you said, he purposely let Vader get him...to become stronger in the end.
