Can anyone tell me when (month-year based on issue) Stilt-Man's helmet/mask changed from fully-covered face to exposed mouth/chin?

In DD 102, he still had the full mask. However, in Daredevil 186, he had the half mask. So it happened either in 186, or somewhere near there. In between those issues, he appeared in Cap 191, Black Goliath 4 and Champions 11-12 with the full mask. So, unless I'm missing an issue, it appears to be DD 186, which was in 1982. -
Thank you, that's very helpful. Just trying to gauge the "Mego era." I have DD in reprints up to 107, and have seen 102 with Stilty and Black Widow. I was unsure of other appearances. I assume the change was made to make him less Iron-Mannish?

Glad to do it! Checked my collection against an online checklist. If I remember correctly, someone stole his armor in 186, and the original Stilt-Man tipped off DD to the armor's weakness. After DD defeated the thief, the original Stilty built a new and improved armor. That's when the design changed.Comment
