Vinny0026 - Bane! Batman - Foe
Vinny0026 - Bane! Batman is no more! I have destroyed him. I rule these streets - I Rule Gotham!
I went a little out side the box on this one.
I have wanted to do Bane for a while but did not want to copy what I did for Crossbones. Also there are many different looks to Bane - but I wanted to base mine on his earlier look which I felt was more Mego-Like. I stuck pretty much to the formula - but did give him green hoses instead of the silver/gray hoses he had in the comics. Just think the green ooze looks so much cooler. IMO
I came across this UFC Body in my parts bins - so figured I try it out.
It is 8 inch Mego scale - I used some trick photography to make it look a little bigger in some of the pictures.
The head came from Ebay - it was painted by Dave Mc - (Thanks Dave!)
It was a standard mego resin head with a neck plug - I cut the plug off - and drilled the hell out of it to make it fit on the body.
I also drilled the holes all over the head to make the hoses fit. I also added metal rings where the tubes attach to the head to give it a better look.
The top is a wrestling suit from CTV
The pants & boots are from ebay - they come off that bootleg Combat-figure.
I made the belt and buckle - mostly from a ctv knights belt - But made the buckle from scratch.
The green hoses came from the parts bins - was holding them for this project.
Did not get a chance to order his box yet - will try and do that this week.
Was fun taking some pics of him beating down Batman
