The prices on this stuff is getting me to skip a lot of it that I might have gotten if they were still in the 20-25 a pop range. Getting into Neca pricing without the Neca quality is not a good move. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. Wow. I have wanted that figure since I started watching Scooby in 1969. Can't find much wrong with it; head is perfect scale compared to the model sheet, it looks like they went the extra mile of making the hair a separate piece to get the bangs to look right. Only thing I would have preferred was to lose the smile and have him with his "mystery solving" expression that was much more common in the show. I wasn't sure how well the characters would translate into Mego form, but this is really good. The big challenges will be Velma and Shaggy, as they won't conform as easily to the standard bodies. Fred is a really good start, though.
Show me a Spooky Space Kook like this and I'll likely faint...Comment

This has to be one of my favorite likenesses they have done lately. I think they captured him perfectly! Great scale! No doubt whatsoever who he is!
I hope these sell really well!!!

Nice indeed. I'm betting Velma will end up on a teen girl body, and Shaggy on a standard male one.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

That's the one thing that I don't think would work. The body could be regular with a baggy shirt and pants, but Shaggy's gangly arms are a big part of his look. That was the one problem I had with Matthew Lillard in the live action flicks; he was a tad buff for Shaggy. To do him right, you'd really need some new, skinny arms. Wouldn't be a deal breaker if they didn't, but it would definitely put his figure well over the top if they did.Comment

I do see what you're advocating: FTC could well have used a slimmer body for Scarecrow, too. But as you say, it's not a deal-breaker.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

Perhaps, but a very talented customizer here has done Scooby customs that could have been practical prototypes, and I believe he used a standard body to great results.

If EE has these for around $26 like most of FTC's other new stuff,it might not be that much of a deal breaker.Comment
