Will We Ever See 12" EMCE?

With the huge success that EMCE is seeing right now, I was wondering if we will ever see a repro 12" figure line?

If EMCE has the Trek rights, why not go after the 12" ST:TMP figs? We could see a McCoy and Scotty.

Perhaps Doc could shed some light on my question.....any chance?

I've always thought that every 8" Mego should be done as a 12" as well.....and vice versa.

    Picture ST:TOS as 12" or a 12" POTA fig.....or even an 8" Buck Rogers......

Even the original 12" Mego figures don't have all that much appeal. I can't see the investment in 12" molds being a worthwhile investment. Look at the Majestic line of Battlestar Galactica figures. Beautiful sculpts, uniforms, and packaging but they just don't seem to sell. I love em and I still waited until they were on mark down to buy em. If they had done these in 8" I bet they would have sold out on them.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Actually...I'm hoping EMCE doesn't waste time making 12" Figures. There are enough other Companies doing 12" Figure's(including Star Trek)...that EMCE doesn't really need to go there. Let's stick to 8" Mego Scale...PLEASE!

The benefits of making 12 inch figures is that you can charge more at retail,
you can put in a lot more detailing in the face and outfit.

The downside is that the higher price scares away some customers, and
            bright colors look very cartoony.

Since there are plenty of other companies out there fulfilling the 12 inch
market - which prefer fashion dolls and military men - I will stick with my
first love - 8 inch of poseable fury!

Now if I could get the KISS license - that may be worth it. Does anyone
            have $200,000 to get started?

Let's be serious about KISS figures

Gene Simmons should be paying EMCE to make those not the other way around.

With all do respect I grew up in the 70's and I thought the mego Kiss were one of the coolest toys around. I even had a neat AM radio.

Now that being said, I am very much a listener of classic rock, and I couldnt name 5 Kiss songs. Then the only one that comes to mind "I wanna rock and roll all night, and party everyday" i dont even think was from that era!

So maybe Mr. Simmons should lay out the dough! The Macfarlane stuff years ago was sub par and yknow he probably wants to see those toys redone himself anyhow and I am assuming he has the bread.

As far as the 12" mego repros....

Yknow my wife if gonna kill me for all the $ i been spending but the DC Direct Line got me addicted seriously. (I just got Green Arrow now theres a cool toy)

In a strange way I kinda have to credit all this mego talk for getting me hooked I just cant wait for the next emce releases to i kinda wandered off into the dc direct zone. For my wife's sake please more EMCE!!!

                :-)

It would be cool to see some of the 12 inch stuff shrunk to 8 inch size, like Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon and the Superman 12" stuff eventually.

                          Well that's dissapointing. I like 12" figs.

Oh well...at least you guys agree that 8" variations of the 12" guys would be cool.

Ohhh KISS repro figs would be awesome and they could include Eric and Vinney.

If we have 500 members, each of us shell in a couple hundred bucks and walla...ball has been rolled....then the Museum COULD be the one and only place to buy repro KISS Mego figures!!! (even though I hate exclusives)

If there's a chance Gene can make a buck....it will happen.

I'll pass on KISS...they look more like Dolls than action figures.
