Kimar : King of Mars

I've loved "Santa Claus conquers the Martians" since I first saw it on the "Canned Film Festival" in the early 80s and it's been one of those movies I probably watch once a year.

Recently while watching it, I was amused by the Martian action figure that is briefly shown in Santa's workshop, it's pretty cool, you can see it five minutes in here. So I got inspired and built this guy out of stuff I found in my parts box and sculpy. It seemed fitting seeing as they got the martian costumes at K-Mart.

I used an AJ flashlight for the weapon, they used Wham-o air blasters in the movie, so I'll have to sculpt one.

I love that movie too! I recorded it off the Sci-Fi Channel about 20 years ago. I even remember bringing it in to my "babysitting" job of watching kids during a school PTA meeting, and the kids loved it! Your figure is great Brian. It looks like one of the characters in the movie!
