Need help with Supergirl's belt

I have the FTC Supergirl doll. And she is beautiful But i have a problem...her belt is loose. I've tried to lap the belt and sew it so as it fits around her waist. I would like some help please.

I had to fix that, as well. I wound up cutting a bit off the belt in the back, and then carefully overhand stitching it together while it was around her waist. I don't know if it has enough stretch in it to fix it off her body and then be able to slip it back up to her waist.

I have her, but have not removed her from the card. I would cut the belt and add some Velcro. This way you can tighten it around her waist and adjust accordingly
