    FTC Batcave review with photos

I received my Batcave today and I have to say it was more like opening up the child inside me, than just ripping into a parcel.

The package graphics are colorful and vivid, faithfully recreating the style and spirit of the Mego original...

The graphics on each side of the box either showcase current figures or new characters to come.

The back shot breaks down the features in this playset.

Opening up this treasure chest reveals the Batcave containing a set of instructions, the paper mat, Bat-signal, computer, and Bat-pole.

Note the graphics are an exact copy of the original. A wonderful journey down memory lane.

Note the Bat-signal actually takes AA batteries, so have a few handy when yours arrives. And yes, it has a cover.
One noted improvement - It remains on after you push the button, which is nice. The original you had to keep the button
pressed down to keep it going.

A few bends and folds and the Batcave is ready to go...

    "It's the Bat-Signal!"

    "Oh...um...Alfred was that you?"

"It matters not. To the Bat-poles!"

    "Robin to the Batmobile!"

"Okay Batman! Atomic power to batteries. Power to speed. Ah, just push the red button."

And they're off on another adventure! Make sure to get one for the kid inside you!!

What a wonderful review. I absolutely LOVE seeing a child enjoy these toys......and an old fart like me reliving our childhood by playing with a kid is even better.

                      Thanks for posting Tom.

Cool review. Disappointed to know the mat is paper and not vinyl. Does anyone know if Craft or fabric stores would carry sheet vinyl like the original? I will be looking to replace the paper with a vinyl mat and would start my search there.

What a great review. And FTC could clean up selling those signals and computers separately. Is the computer good cardstock?

The last picture is priceless .

I'm going to search for a heavyweight vinyl tablecloth and cut one out.
